The central florida hockey league (cfhl) is a competitive travel hockey league for USA hockey registered teams at the mite through midget levels. the league plays all its games in the six participating central Florida areans: Brandon, Clearwater, Ellenton, Kissimee, Orlando and Tampa Bay. The CHFL board of directors is comprised of one hockey director from each of the six participating arenas and it is their responsibility to organize and oversee all league play. There are two seasons, the first is an 18 game fall season that begins in early september and ends in mid-february , the second season is the 10 game spring season starting in late March or early April and ending in mid-june.
All USA hockey registered Florida ice hockey teams are elgible to participate in the CFHL but game play is limited to the six participating arenas. Each team plays two games every other weekend on the same day with two different opponents thus minimizing travel and overnight lodging expenses. Any team interested in joining the cfhl from outside participating areanas may contact Alan Hunter at TBSA (813) 854-4010 on Mondays or Tuesdays between 12:00pm and 7:00pm or email alchrishunter@earthlink.net |
